Founder, Civic One
I'm Aisha Majdoub, an incoming sophomore at UCLA studying International Development Studies. Before college, I served three roles inside San Francisco's government: District Intern in the Office of Supervisor Matt Dorsey, Mayoral Appointee to the San Francisco Youth Commission under former Mayor London Breed, and Intern in the Mayor's Office of Communications and Office of Protocol.
Across all three, I watched the same thing happen — residents calling, emailing, and walking in for help, and city staff sending them across a maze of disconnected websites, agencies, and forms to access services their own city had already funded. The programs existed. The eligibility existed. What didn't exist was a system that connected them.
I'm building Civic One because the door between residents and their government should exist. Right now, it doesn't.
